Its too bad they made Phoenix's battle to be so boring. With some creative people, they could have made him enshroud the bey stadium in flames during his battle with Basara and Ilia and make them bleed or burn in consequence! The way Ryuga did to Hikaru in Metal Fusion, but with fire instead of a white gleam! :)

The battle between Phoenix and illya and basara was Very Good

It was decent, but why not go even further? His bey has the potential to cause an inferno in the stadium, so why didn't they do that?

The real answer is money, the long answer is it's a show aimed at kids so just like over in the America's the lack of effort is very noticable, beyblade sells toys so as long as the toys sell who care what they do for the tv series is how companies look at it

Wow, and I remember how amazing the Metal saga was! When watching Ryuga vs Kyoya at Battle Bladers, my skin got Goosebumps! They must have invested a serious amount of cash back then to get such a masterpiece!

There's no use comparing Burst saga with Metal saga. Metal saga was the golden age of Beyblade, the plot was creative and to some extent dark. Ryuga was one of the most complete characters transforming across 3 seasons from a pure villain to an antihero to a person who cherished human life. Don't get me wrong the first 4 seasons of burst were good. The major problem with Phenomena is that he was introduced this late, so he wouldn't have enough screen time when compared to a more well-developed antagonist like Rashad in the current series.

HONESTLY, I just love watching beyblade just to watch some beyblades. I don't know why these people are expecting attack on titan type storywriting for some spinny tops💀😭

Id say is unlike burst, god and cho-z, the GT onward have like half the time to make fights interesting, yeah a shorter fight is more realistic but you dont watch beyblade for realism you watch for over the top spectacle so GT onwards are a step down from previous seasons level of quality, storytelling and creativity
